Interns represent a very important part of America’s workforce. So much so that July 25th is International Intern Day. This July we celebrate our 2024 summer intern, Jacob O’Shaughnessy. Jacob is Marlin’s Engineering Intern working in the Menomonee Falls office. This fall Jacob will be a junior at Milwaukee School of Engineering studying Computer Engineering.
Jacob is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. What brought him to Wisconsin, you may ask? When searching for schools MSOE hit the top of his list due to the proximity to his family and their excellent engineering program. Another added bonus for Jacob is that Wisconsin summers are more temperate than what he is used to in Oklahoma. At MSOE, Jacob is part of the radio club, and he enjoys experimenting with microwave RF communication when he has the time.
During his time at Marlin, Jacob has had the opportunity to learn from many of our talented engineers as well as assisting with a variety of projects. Primarily Jacob has been working on PC board design for CAN/power splitters (500187/500188) and firmware for CAN bridge (505601). His favorite part about working at Marlin is the fact that we don’t take ourselves too seriously while continuously producing quality products.
We have really enjoyed getting to know Jacob this summer and wish him all the best throughout the duration of his education. Join us in thanking Jacob for choosing to spend his summer with Marlin, and for his contributions. Happy National Intern Day, Jacob!
