The Power of Marlin Digital Switching Technology
Now with three different switcher choices, your wish to have “Your Boat, Your Way” is our command. Improve your customers’ boating experience while reducing wiring and labor costs with a digital switching system. And our system has some new product choices!
A Family of Products
Not all boats are the same, and not all of them have the same control needs. So don’t fit your boat needs to a fixed digital solution – instead get the digital system to fit your boat! Toward that end, Marlin has three digital switchers to use on your boat – getting you just what you need for a perfect boater experience.
All these systems use Marlin’s simple configuration interface to allow each boat builder to configure their models as desired, customizing keypad operations, colors, and functions. Our growing list of satisfied customers love the control they have in-house coupled with outstanding support from Marlin to keep them on the right path. Let’s meet to discuss how digital switching can improve your customers’ boating experience, and we’ll help you choose the configuration that is best for your installations.
Why Marlin’s Digital Switcher?
Better User Experience
Marlin’s keypads have a better tactile feel than others, so your customers know when a switch is “on” or “off.” Plus, with bright LED’s, the functions (and colors) of each button can be tailored to the state of load being controlled. Fuses? Gone – and overcurrent detection is accomplished digitally, with a reset accomplished with a long key press instead of changing a physical fuse. Marlin’s keypads are available with optional Bluetooth connectivity, allowing customers to operate the keypad from their phone while near the boat.
Better Reliability
Like all Marlin products, all components in our switcher systems are IP-67 rated, meaning they are protected against the damaging effects of water and dirt ingress. This means each boat with a digital system has many fewer points of failure over time – increasing reliability.
Reduced Costs
Marlin Technologies’ Digital Switcher controls all a boat’s loads (lighting, pumps, wells, and accessories) through a programmable CAN controller and CAN keypad. Instead of running wire from a fuse panel to a paddle switch, then on to the load, Digital Switchers use CAN-bus communications to reduce the wiring requirements on a boat. Less wire means less money (and weight) spent on materials as well as the labor to wire your boat in production.
