Product Overview
Nicknamed the “calculator” based on it’s appearance, this custom unit uses large buttons with great tactile feedback because the operators in this application are usually wearing large gloves. This design helps prevent false touches. The custom icons on each key were chosen by the OEM, and Marlin tests button actuations into the millions, far beyone what the unit will see in service. The built-in I/O capability minimizes the need for external controllers, yet this unit operates on the CAN Bus with other CAN controlled units. Originally ramped into production with a few hundred units required per year, current production is in the thousands of EAU.
